About Us
Billy Owens became interested in selling insurance over 40 years ago. He started out selling life policies and then went on to work a debit agency where he went around town here in Muskogee collecting montly fees for home owner insurance and life insurance. A-OK was founded in 1989 as Billy found people wanting to get a better variety of different insurance. In 1992, his son Danny came into the business to help his dad expand. Within a year of them combining their individual skills, Billy & Danny went from a 2 room trailer on 12th & Court St. to the office they now reside in on 733 Callahan St. In December 2002, Danny married Erin, who is now a full time agent working in the office. A-OK Preferred is a family oriented business where we always want our customers to feel welcome & at home when they come in to the office. Serving all of northeastern Oklahoma, but also having customers in all parts of Oklahoma, from Tulsa to Oklahoma City all the way to the Oklahoma panhandle. We proudly support missionaries in India, the Phillippines, China, the Carribean, Europe, and Africa. Our customers share in equally supporting these missionaries that allow us all to share in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
